College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering(CMEE), founded in 1999, is one of the six colleges in National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech). Established in 1912, Taipei Tech is one of the oldest universities in Taiwan, especially in the area of engineering. For the past hundred years, Taipei Tech continues to incubate talented engineers and successful industrial CEO’s. In fact, more than 10% of the CEO’s in Taiwan’s stock companies are from Taipei Tech.

Founded for nearly 20 years, CMEE is committed to research and teaching excellence in the emerging and fundamental mechanical and electrical technologies. Currently, CMEE has 76 fulltime faculties, 156 Ph.D. students, 803 Master’s students, and 1760 undergraduate students.

Compatible with the Washington Accords accredited by Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET), curriculum programs in CMEE include 3 undergraduate programs, 5 Master’s programs, 3 Ph.D. programs, and 3 specialized international graduate programs. Undergraduate and Master’s degrees are offered in department of mechanical engineering, department of vehicle engineering, and department of energy, refrigerating air-conditioning engineering (also Ph.D.). Graduate institute of manufacturing technology offers Master’s and Ph.D. Degree and Graduate institute of automation technology for Master’s degree. With highly interdisciplinary integration, Graduate institute of mechanical and electrical engineering offers Ph.D. degree.

Excellent research and study opportunities in CMEE are provided. Ample government-funded researches as well as funding from various industries sponsor students with scholarships and research opportunities in the areas of mechatronics, clean energy and energy saving, intelligent vehicles, sensors, intelligent manufacturing, and biomedical engineering.
